To the users that frequent this site – What is your preferred mobile device? Iphone (iOS or Android?!) Your answer(s) could have an impact on the future and determine “order of priority” Looking forward to your comments!
I prefer Android because there’s a lot more you can do with it. I like that it’s on a variety of phones (Me having the Hero, about to get the EVO), and that you can get one on nearly every carrier without having to be tied to AT&T. HOWEVER, from a developer’s side, I would choose iOS because not only does it reach mobile phone users for the iPhone, You can also expand and reach out to iPod Touch AND iPad users which increases your audience capacity by millions.
One other note about development – With Android, you have to cross check compatibility with multiple devices and multiple firmware versions. With iOS, All of them are uniform (For the most part, at least from generation to generation) and if it works on one, it works on all.
Android since G1 as well. Now using the HTC Desire.
If you are looking for the biggest market, they are around the same but the general consensus is that Android will continue to outsell the iPhone. (After all, iPhone is one phone but Android is many.)
Developing for Android is easy, I am confused at people who bring up the different device support as Android is designed to handle this well. Just read the advice on the dev site. Like never set size values in pixels(px), always set them in density pixels (dp). It’s better to read up on that rather than me explain it here.
iPhone. Because I design speakers docks for them. Android has caught my attention though. Nice thing about Android is they are not such a tightly closed ecosystem. I’ve come to hate the Apple tax.
Welp, I have a tracfone. You can push buttons, it makes calls, and that’s about it. Pretty sure the iPhone has deeper market penetration though.

i just typed a bunch of stuff but didn’t fill out my email so i lost it all ;D
it was basically along the lines of there are more iOS users so it makes sense to focus on that platform first
My choice is Nokia N8. 🙂
Im on Android since G1. Now on Samsung Galaxy S. For me its better than iOS but that choice is up to you.
iPhone – simple and works 🙂

Iphone <3
Thanks for the feedback guys!
From what I’ve seen, I’d prefer an android phone over an Iphone and that will probably be my selection come January when its time for a new phone.
iPhone, all the way.
Although I think the iPhone is a nifty device, I have to say Android, given that you don’t need to jail-break it to use it the way you want.
iPhone/iPad for me. Then again, I own an iPad. 🙂
Android is best by far so far.
