As many people have seen, Our (Pump Pro) team has recently been working with Andamiro Korea to produce a new series to the Pump It Up family titled, “Pump It Up Jump”. Pump Jump is the first complete PIU title geared towards kids!
The Interface is very friendly and provides karaoke and entertainment for the whole family. The game features new kid styled tunes with some added pump classics! The cabinet has been designed to be very user friendly and easy to navigate. Even the PIU pad layout has been compressed for younger feet! The new cabinet features custom Andamiro design and updated hardware. It is our hope that this title will promote fun with benefits of exercise for all ages.
The title has been publicly beta testing for a few months through various locations in the USA and Korea. There are plans for versions targeted to specific kid locations. (ticket support is likely to be included in the final release) The feedback has been fairly well received with the kids in our beta markets so far!
Expect to see Pump Jump available later this year.
The songlist consists of the following songs: (Some songs familiar to the Pump franchise from other game titles)
Beethoven Virus
Bingo
Caprice of Otada
Chopstix
Dance All Night
Dr.M
Exotica
Funk Factory
Happy and You Know It
Higgledy Piggledy
I Love Jesus

Mary had a Little Lamb
Point Break
Put Ya Hands Up
Ra
Row Row Row Your Boat
Shooting Star

The Monkey Song

Naturally, the game offers very easy levels designed for very young children. Currently, 2 steps levels are available to players. Beta imagery can be seen via youtube here.
We hope you Enjoy Pump Jump! 🙂
At least it’s slightly less ridiculous than Dance Praise :P.
Throw in ticket support and my store WILL be buying this. 😀
So what is the age range of this game? 3-6, 6-12? The songlist will need to be tailored to them, or radio playlists of those that are family focused (I\’m thinking Bonneville International\’s stations, as they are family-focused). Be careful of public domain nursery rhymes as they will automatically be a turn off for those over 5. As far as gameplay mechanics go. Arrows are the way to go. The demo video reminds me of the Smiley noteskin in PIU:PRO. I think the original PIU noteskin would be best, or if each panel is individually colored, make the arrows that color. Also, the judge and life difficulties should both be set to 1. We should have a reasonably large timing window (as in a miss would be .5 seconds from the arrow point, or at least having the missed arrow go off the screen).

Thank you for input for PIU Jump. I will look into these issues and come to a conclusion based on your suggestions. 🙂
Take care!
